This painting has formal qualities that make this a great work with contrast and a centerpoint and an element of impasto. The baby's garmet is quite textured and raised. This portait has a good likeness to artist Ferguson's Grandparents on her father's side who were strict members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and were a young married New Zealand couple with their first child, Garry. All subjects have passed away from this world. This work was painted in 2021.
